# Open a Shared Measurement

If someone sends you a **Moasure measurement file (.mfile)** through email, messaging apps, AirDrop or cloud storage, you can open it directly in the Moasure app.

#### To open a shared measurement:

1. Tap the **.mfile** attachment on your device.
2. Tap **View** or **Share** depending on your device.
3. Select **Moasure App** from the list of apps.
4. The measurement will open inside the Moasure app.

#### Important

When opening a shared file this way, the measurement is **not automatically saved** to your device.

If you want to keep the project:

1. Tap **Save** inside the Moasure app.
2. Give the measurement a name.
3. The file will then appear in your saved measurements list.
