# Edit Stairs

The **Edit Stairs** tools allow you to adjust how stair openings appear in the floor plan.

When stairs are captured during measurement, the opening is added to the wall layout. You can then modify how the staircase is displayed so the orientation and direction match the real layout of the building.

Editing stairs changes how the staircase is represented in the floor plan but does **not modify the measured room geometry captured by LX1**.

## Important

Editing stairs changes how the staircase appears in the floor plan but does **not alter the measured structure of the room**.

LX1 measurements define the wall geometry. Stair editing tools only adjust the visual representation of the staircase.
